The Federal Ministry of Education (FME), in an effort to widen access to education and boost employable skills among teeming youth, decided to establish the private sector led Vocational Enterprise Institutions (VEIs) and Innovation Enterprise Institutions (IEIs). VEIS and IEIS Certificate & Diploma and the qualifications are approved by Federal Government to provide an alternative route to skills-based education.
The primary goals of our programme in film and television production are to develop the student’s ability to express original ideas on film or video and to encourage a thorough understanding of the technical and aesthetic aspects of motion pictures and television. BEEC also provide individual and group filmmaking experiences and the opportunity to learn all aspects of filmmaking in a collaborative environment.

NATIONAL INNOVATION DIPLOMA (NID) IN FILM & TELEVISION PRODUCTION
GOALS AND OBJECTIVES GOAL:
To produce technically competent manpower to meet the National requirement in the areas of Film and Television production.
OBJECTIVES:
VEIs and IEIs Certificate & Diploma are qualifications approved by the Federal Government to provide an alternative route to skills based education.
The Federal Ministry of Education (FME), in an effort to widen access to education and boost employable skills among teeming youth, decided to establish the private sector led Vocational Enterprise Institutions (VEIs) and Innovation Enterprise Institutions (IEIs). Although it is recognized that higher education institutions are critical to our economic and national growth through their roles in proving technological knowledge and job skills, they however currently lack the capacity to accommodate the increasing multitude of schools leavers who thus continue to swell the rank of unemployed and unemployable that lack skills.
Our Training Sequence
Students are trained to explore the basic concepts of directing in television, documentary and dramatic narrative by working with actors, documentary production and the creation of short television projects.
They are also taught the aesthetics and tools of the major disciplines of cinematic arts: producing, cinematography, script writing, sound and editing.
Intermediate Training is the second phase of our training sequence. In this workshop, students work in small crews, learning to collaborate and explore the expressive principles of visual and audio communication; idea development and realization using image, movement, pace, the spoken word and other sounds.
For this reason the VIEs and the IEIs has widen the access to absorb the following categories of students and satisfy special needs of the citizenry:
- Graduate who wish to be self employed
- NYSC graduates and undergraduate who wish to be self-employed
- Qualified students unable to secure admission through JAMB
- Students who needs only practical skills to secure jobs
- Career paths that do not need University degree
- Nigerian who have not studied for some time
- Media professionals and journalists
